Trail Ride Report for Lake Allatoona – Saturday March 25th, 2006

The March trail ride was on some trails near Lake Allatoona. Most of the group met at a McDonalds by the trailhead and went to Ken Sutz’s House/neighborhood to unload some rigs. We had 6 FJ40’s from the Georgia Cruisers attend, a Jeep, and Ken Sutz’s Bronco (GBR member but knows the trails very well so we let him come).

While the majority of the group was on the trail I was very late and rushing to try to get to the trail. I finally made it to the trail at around 11:00 am and met up with Oscar and Thomas who weren’t with the group either.

My group (who didn’t have much idea where we should ride) started to ride some trails with the only problem being what sounded like Oscars water pump going out. We finally got a hold of the other group and met them for lunch at a beach on the lake. At the beach we ate lunch and played in the water and on some obstacles on the beach.

After lunch we started to make our way out of the woods. Nothing dramatic happened the whole trip it was just a fun day in the woods. After we were done we went back over to Ken’s house to air back up and put trucks back on trailers. All in all it was a great day but next time I’ll make sure that I arrive on time.
